As your wedding planner, I understand that you’ve invested months in creating your perfect day, from flower arrangements to wedding party attire and all the little details. But when the day is done, your photos become the lasting memories. That’s why I emphasize ensuring your photos are as picture-perfect as possible, and I’m here to help you achieve that.
While there’s no way to plan for every possible eventuality, these tips will cover the essentials.
1 – Keep a makeup touch-up kit close by. Even with flawless application, sweat and tears can affect your look. A touch-up kit will ensure you look your best throughout the day. It’s a good idea to check with your makeup artist to see if they offer this as part of their service.
2 – Staying hydrated is essential on your wedding day. However, to maintain your perfect lipstick, opt for water bottles and straws rather than drinking directly from cups.
3 – Your photographer will want close-up ring photos, so it’s important to have them cleaned that week. A professional cleaning is recommended, and having ring cleaner on hand is a good idea for any last-minute touch-ups.
4 – It’s always wise to be prepared, so ask someone in your wedding party to keep a supply of tissues. You never know when you might need them during the emotional moments of your wedding day.
5 – Sweat marks can be a concern in wedding photos, so consider investing in sweat-proof t-shirts. This is especially helpful if you anticipate warm weather or if your groom(s) tends to sweat more. These shirts help maintain a clean and neat appearance.
6 – For a fresh smile throughout your photos, consider having a disposable toothbrush available. A quick brush after eating, particularly if your photographer will be capturing more moments, is a good idea.
7 – A beautiful hanger can truly enhance your wedding dress photos. The way your gown hangs makes a difference, and an elegant hanger will elevate the overall aesthetic of the images.
8 – To create beautiful getting-ready photos, take a moment to tidy the room. Remove any unwanted items from the background, like trash, handbags, accessories, and anything else you wouldn’t want to see in your pictures.
9 – To ensure you capture all the memories you cherish, create a photo list for your photographer in advance. This way, you can focus on enjoying your wedding day, confident that your photographer is getting all the shots you envisioned.
From my experience as a wedding planner, I can assure you that incorporating these simple tips will result in eye-catching wedding photos you’ll adore revisiting time and time again.
